Trails of 1885 Website – Island Project Spotlight
It’s Thursday, so that means time for a throwback…all the way to 1885. Last year we were fortunate enough to work with the folks at Tourism Saskatoon and the Trails fo 1885 to redesign their website. Here is how it used to look.
The website needed to highlight the different sites that you can visit that were part of the Trails of 1885 history. But as part of our discovery we realized just how much this story covered. The main feature of the website is the homepage (after you select your language). This serves as an interactive timeline that takes the user through the history of the North-West Resistance.
The website also has a page for each site, where you can learn more about its history, location, hours, upcoming events, and even view a photo gallery of that location.
Also featured is an interactive map, so users can see the proximity of locations to one another, and find convenient driving routes between each site.
